BRENTWOOD AVENUE ENTERTAINMENT. Our Story
Our involvement in the entertainment industry began with my daughter, Emily, who was a talented actress appearing on stage, television and film. As Emily grew older, she increasingly received audition requests for parts we considered inappropriate. In response, we decided to produce our own value-based films that would provide families with a high-quality entertainment opportunity.
In 2011, we organized "Flyover Films" and served as executive producer on our first film, “The Pledge,” a patriotic movie that was featured at the GI Film Festival in Washington, DC. The film starred veteran actor Terry Kiser (“Weekend at Bernie’s”) and was the first film for current Nickelodeon star Barrett Carnahan (“The Thundermans”, “Drop Dead Diva”). The film had a six-week run in a regional theater chain before moving to DVD where it is currently available nationwide in Wal-Mart.
In 2013, we served as executive producer on our second film, “A Christmas Tree Miracle,” starred Kevin Sizemore (“Woodlawn”, “Resurrection”, “Under the Dome”) and, featured Terry Kiser and Jill Whelan (“The Love Boat”). Since 2014, the UpTV television network has featured the movie as a kickoff to its Christmas movie season.
Today, we not only produce our own films, but also assist other likeminded filmmakers in producing their movies. Currently, we are working on several projects including "Ticket to Nashville," America's first country jukebox musical.
In order to continue to promote family films, we are also developing a distribution relationship with vintage theaters nationwide.
We raised our daughter, Emily, on Brentwood Avenue, a wonderful neighborhood in Wheeling, WV. We chose the name to reflect the hometown values of faith, family and freedom we hoped to instill in our daughter during those early years. Emily is a graduate of the Film Studies program at Pepperdine University and attends graduate school in directing at Chapman University.
